Yvonne called Archie into the front room, like usual, attached his leash and squeezed him into his little winter jacket like usual, and opened the door to a cold blast of wind like usual.
What was unusual about this day was the fact that she was going to meet up with Simon today, to take care of business. After a day of errands which included shopping for extra retractable leashes and weather appropriate exercise clothes that actually fit her, she was ready to begin her life as a dog-walking, brainstorming Christmas play choreographer.
She and Simon had agreed to meet at Mrs. Cramer’s house, which was her usual starting point...
But as she and Archie walked out the door and down the street, a man exited the the dark blue house next to theirs....
Revealing himself to be Simon, with sever retractable leashes of his own hanging from his belt, one of which was reigning in a very fluffy Husky was transparently ecstatic to be outside.
